More Remix Options

Folks all over the nation used the three-day weekend to get creative with remixes. Even the British Library is helping out by sharing lots of good materials free for the creative reimagining. Check out a fun example of of a GIF made from remixed materials on Vine. And, courtesy of Lucy Tran, here’s a great secondary source for tracking down primary source materials in the public domain: The Public Domain Review. If you’re stressing about the technical learning curve, don’t underestimate the power of a remixed found poem or a cut-n-paste collage. You don’t need your own installation to create the latter. Just keep in mind that your materials must be legally available for remix use.
